Janus Brink

Software Engineer
Janus grew up in Pretoria where he studied electronic engineering at the University of Pretoria. Continuing in this field he completed an MEng in computer engineering, specialising in automatic speech recognition. During this time he moved to Cape Town with his wife, Anita, while working as a software engineer in the telecommunications industry. Being an avid amateur astronomer, he decided to join the SALT Project Team in 2002 and enrolled in the National Astrophysics and Space Programme in 2003, where he hopes to gain insight into the engineering and science of professional astronomy.
