Nicola Loaring

SALT Astronomer

Nicola hails from London, UK, and studied Astronomy and Physics at University College London before completing her PhD in Astrophysics at Oxford University. Her thesis investigated Quasar clustering using the 2dF QSO Redshift Survey.

She began working at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory in the UK in 2001, working on a deep X-ray survey conducted using the XMM-Newton satellite. She joined the SALT team in October 2005 and is looking forward to many a clear night up in Sutherland.
